What to Expect

With Advanced Sleep Management, you’re in capable, caring hands. Our doctors and clinicians will help assess the type of sleep disorder you may suffer from, then recommend the right type of study and develop a personalized plan to help get you on track to a better night’s sleep.

Types of Sleep Therapy

CPAP

A CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) machine is used in the treatment of sleep apnea. This device delivers continuous pressurized air through tubing into a mask that you wear while you sleep. The continuous flow of air gently keeps your tongue, uvula, and soft palate from shifting too far into your airway. This stabilizes your breathing and improves your overall sleep quality.

Oral Appliance

An oral appliance therapy consists of a customized oral device that is worn at night while you sleep. Designed to fit comfortably inside your mouth, the oral appliance can move your jaw forward to keep soft tissues from collapsing and causing potential blockage.

Inspire

An FDA-approved hypoglossal nerve stimulator implant that delivers upper airway stimulation synchronized to your breathing to relieve obstruction during sleep. This is an alternative treatment option for certain patients with OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) who haven’t had success with CPAP.

Remedē

An FDA-approved implantable system that stimulates a nerve in the chest (phrenic nerve) to send signals to the large muscle that controls breathing (diaphragm). These signals stimulate breathing in the same way that the brain signals breathing. This device is not intended for use in patients with OSA (obstructive sleep apnea), only primary CSA (central sleep apnea).
